Dr. Atsuyuki Suzuki is President of Japan Atomic Energy Agency, since 2010. Prior to that, he served Nuclear Safety Commission of Japan as chair from 2006 and as full-time member from 2003. Up to 2003, he was Professor of nuclear engineering at University of Tokyo, while now being honored with the distinction of Professor Emeritus.

　Dr. Suzuki's major scientific areas are nuclear fuel cycle engineering, radioactive waste management and material safeguards, and energy modeling from global perspectives. He organized to complete a number of projects in which he was a project leader or task force chair. For example, at the university, he led security management project. Internationally, he was co-leader of the joint study on interim storage of nuclear spent fuel between Harvard University and University of Tokyo, and a task-force chair of the Panel Report on Managing the Global Nuclear Materials Threat at Center for Strategic and International Studies, Washington DC.

　In 1978, Dr. Suzuki was Representative from Japan receiving the Eisenhower Exchange Fellowships that provides an opportunity to stay in the United States as an honorable guest. For one and a half years, from 1974 to 1975, he used to stay in Austria for working for International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, where he joined the energy study group as an expert of mathematical modeling and nuclear energy.

　Dr. Suzuki was appointed by the Prime Minister as a Member of Scientific Council of Japan, and internationally, served the Board of Nuclear and Radiation Studies at the National Academy of Sciences in the United States.

　Dr. Suzuki is Fellow of Atomic Energy Society of Japan, and was a member of the American Nuclear Society, in which he used to be Associate Editor in Asia of Nuclear Technology. He holds PhD degree in nuclear engineering from University of Tokyo.

　Mr. Herman M.G. Nackaerts was appointed as the Deputy Director General, Head of the Department of Safeguards at the International Atomic Energy Agency, in September 2010.

　In January 2006, Mr. Nackaerts joined the International Atomic Energy Agency and was appointed Director of Division of Operations B in the Department of Safeguards.

　From 1983-2006, before joining the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mr. Nackaerts assumed positions at the European Commission, in the Section for Euratom Safeguards as: Section Head of Strategy and External Relations; Section Head of Safeguards Inspections; Head of the Division of Logistics and Information Technology and Head of the Division of Safeguards Inspections.

　Before 1983 Mr. Nackaerts held positions as a process and design engineer within the Belgian chemical and nuclear industry respectively and as a project engineer at the Nuclear Research Centre in Mol, Belgium.

　Mr. Nackaerts holds a degree in electrotechnical and mechanical engineering from the University of Leuven in Belgium. He has written numerous safeguards publications and speaks English, French, German and Dutch fluently.

　Ms. Laura S. H. Holgate joined the office of the WMD Coordinator at the National Security Council in 2009. In this role, she oversees and coordinates the development of national policies and programs to reduce global threats from nuclear, biological and chemical weapons; detect, identify, secure and eliminate nuclear materials; prevent malicious use of biotechnology; and secure the civilian nuclear fuel cycle.

　From 2001 to 2009, Ms. Holgate was the Vice President for Russia/New Independent States Programs at the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI). Ms. Holgate led NTI's activities to secure and eliminate fissile materials, develop new employment for former weapons workers, reduce risks of the nuclear fuel cycle, and enhance national threat reduction programs.

　Prior to joining NTI, Ms. Holgate directed the Department of Energy's Office of Fissile Materials Disposition from 1998 to 2001. She was Special Coordinator for Cooperative Threat Reduction at the Department for Defense from 1995 through 1998, where she provided policy oversight of the "Nunn-Lugar" Cooperative Threat Reduction program of US assistance to Russia and other former Soviet states in eliminating the weapons-of-mass-destruction legacy of the Cold War.

　Her academic credentials include an AB from Princeton University in politics, an SM from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in political science, and two years on the research staff at Harvard University's Center for Science and International Affairs at the Kennedy School of Government

　Dr. George Anzelon is a physicist in the Global Security Directorate at the US Department of Energy's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), where he is acting program leader for nuclear nonproliferation, international security, and safeguards.

　After receiving his Ph.D. in nuclear physics and spending four years as an Air Force Officer with the Air Force Technical Applications Center, George joined LLNL in 1977 to work on methods for detecting hidden nuclear weapons and weapons fissile materials.

　Since 1982, he has worked on technical and policy studies on nuclear proliferation, illicit nuclear trafficking, and international safeguards in various capacities from analyst to Associate Division Leader.

　During 2000-2002, George worked as a safeguards analyst at IAEA Headquarters in Vienna. He participated in the first nuclear inspections in Iraq after the 1991-1992 Gulf War, in the verified elimination of Libya's former undeclared nuclear program during 2004, and in monitoring nuclear disablement activities in North Korea during 2007-2009.

　Ms. Jill N Cooley is Director of the Division of Concepts and Planning in the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) Department of Safeguards responsible for departmental strategic planning activities, the development and standardisation of safeguards concepts, approaches, procedures, and the organization and conduct of safeguards-related training for Department staff and personnel of Member States.

　Ms. Cooley has over 30 years of experience with international and domestic safeguards, particularly in the development of safeguards for uranium enrichment plants. She has been with the IAEA for 16 years, initially as head of the Statistical Analysis Section where she was responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of statistical methods for safeguards data evaluation and for organising the Agency's environmental sampling programme for safeguards.

　She is currently managing the implementation of the long-range strategic plan for the Department and the transition to a safeguards system that is fully information driven. Previous to her assignments with the IAEA, Ms. Cooley was manager of the Safeguards Program of Lockheed Martin Energy Systems in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, responsible for technical support to the IAEA and various US federal agencies in the development and implementation of international safeguards inspection approaches and procedures.

　Ms Cooley has degrees in physics and nuclear engineering from the University of Wisconsin, USA.

　旧動燃事業団(旧サイクル機構)にて20年にわたり再処理工場の分析所に勤務、同工場へのIAEA 保障措置対応体制の確立を始め多くの保障措置技術開発、分析技術開発に携わった。またピューレックス再処理プロセスの安全性に係る基礎化学的研究にも従事。1986-1987年に英国UKAEA のハーウェル研究所およびドーンレイ原子力開発事業所に研究員として留学。東海再処理工場の分析課長を経て、1999年から7年間にわたりIAEAに勤務。IAEAでは保障措置分析所(サイバースドルフ)所長として核物質申告値検認のための分析並びに未申告活動有無を検証するための環境サンプリングのための分析業務に従事した。その間、イラク、イラン、リビアなどの国々における未申告活動の疑惑事象の解明に深く関与した。2006年7月より日本原子力研究開発機構（JAEA）に勤務。現在、同機構の核不拡散科学技術センター次長（研究主席）。東京大学大学院工学系研究科教授（原子力国際専攻）を兼任。工学博士（東京大学−放射線化学/核物質分析）。東京大学主催「国際保障学研究会」副主査、原子力学会「核不拡散連絡会」副会長。

　Dr. Na Young Lee received Ph.D in the field of nuclear engineering at Seoul National University. She worked for one year in the Computer Information and Science dept. at University of Pennsylvania as a postdoctoral researcher.

　Dr. Klaus Mayer obtained his Ph.D. work in 1987 in the field of radiochemistry and analytical chemistry from the University of Karlsruhe. He then worked for two years at the Institute for Transuranium Elements as post-doctoral researcher.

　From 1990-1996, he was working for the European Commission at IRMM Geel (Belgium) on actinide isotopic reference materials, high accuracy mass spectrometric measurements of U, Pu and Th, the organization of an external quality control programme for nuclear material measurements and the coordination of support activities to Euratom safeguards office and to IAEA.

　In 1996, he started working at ITU Karlsruhe on the development and application of destructive analytical methods for nuclear safeguards purposes. From 1997 to 2010 he chaired the ESARDA Working Group on Destructive Analysis. Today, he is in charge of ITU's activities on combating illicit trafficking and nuclear forensics. Since 2004 he is co-chairman of the Nuclear Forensics International Technical Working Group (ITWG).

　From 1982 to retirement in April 2007 was employed as a safeguards inspector for the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria, specializing in reprocessing safeguards, primarily in Germany and Japan, and design verification.

　Dr. Howsley was the former Director of Security, Safeguards and International Affairs (SSIA) for British Nuclear Fuels Ltd. and has over 25 years international experience relating to nuclear non proliferation and security across the nuclear fuel cycle, working with the IAEA, Euratom, National Police Forces and security organisations.

　He was Chairman of the UK's Atomic Energy Police Authority on a biennial basis between 1996 and 2005 and managed its transition to become the Civil Nuclear Constabulary in 2005, an armed police force responsible for the protection of the UK's civil nuclear sites. He led BNFL's response to the terrorist attacks of 9/11, assessing and leading the programme of security enhancements at BNFL sites and interacting with Government at all levels, including an 18-month investigation into nuclear security by the Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology.

　Between 2001 and 2010 he was appointed to serve on the IAEA Director-General's Standing Advisory Group on Safeguards Implementation (SAGSI). Dr. Howsley holds a first class honours degree and doctorate in Life Sciences from the University of Liverpool in England.

　Mr. Hosik Yoo has over 20 years of experience in the nuclear field. He has conducted research work on the development of nuclear fuel at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) and the Korea Nuclear Fuel Co. (KNFC). As a material scientist he was involved in various technological development programs, such as the high burn-up nuclear fuel for Pressurized Water Reactors and burnable poison fuels.

　In 2005, he joined the Korea Institute of Non-proliferation and Control (KINAC). While there he worked in the regulation field related to physical protection. He also took part in many projects, such as the establishment of physical protection regimes in the ROK and the development of design basis threats on the nuclear facility. He has been a project manager on the development project for physical protection since 2007.

　He earned his B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering in 1988 and M.S. in 1990 from the Korea University. He became a registered professional engineer in the field of nuclear engineering in 1999 and metallurgical engineering in 2000.

　Mr. Yoo now works as the director of the Physical Protection Division in KINAC and is currently participating in a working group at the International Atomic Energy Agency to revise a guidance document, INFCIRC/225. He was listed in the 2011 edition of Marquis Who's Who for contribution to nuclear security

　Ms. Renee Sonderman is the Coordinator for the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism (GICNT) at the US Department of State. As Coordinator, Ms. Sonderman leads the US co-chairmanship of the GICNT, develops and directs GICNT strategic planning, activities, and outreach, and supervises implementation of the GICNT Statement of Principles. Previously, Ms. Sonderman served as Director for Counterproliferation Strategy at the National Security Council (NSC). She was responsible for advancing White House priorities on counterproliferation interdiction, proliferation networks, and proliferation finance. Ms. Sonderman also served as the NSC's Acting Senior Director for Nonproliferation during the 2009 Presidential transition.

　Ms. Sonderman began her federal career as a Presidential Management Fellow (PMF) in the Department of State's Bureau of Nonproliferation where she was responsible for nonproliferation policies related to the East Asia-Pacific region. As a PMF, she also completed assignments as a political officer at the American Embassy in Beijing as well as in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) section of the US Mission to International Organizations in Vienna.

　Ms. Sonderman received her Master's of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and her Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and East Asian studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. She also completed a post-graduate program at the Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies in Nanjing, China.

　Prof. Jor-Shan Choi is a Project Professor for the Global Center-of-Excellence (G-COE) Program at the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Management, University of Tokyo (UT), Japan.

　His areas of research include non-proliferation policy, proliferation-resistant technologies, 3S (safety, security, and safeguards), internationalization of nuclear fuel cycle, and regional cooperation on peaceful use of nuclear energy.

　Before joining UT in 2008, Dr. Choi worked for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the US for 21 years, developing novel fuels for advanced small reactors and corrosion-resistant material for spent-fuel waste containers. He was a delegation member for the HEU blend-down program, the weapons-Pu disposition program, and the PR&PP working group. Dr. Choi was a Science Fellow at CISAC, Stanford in 1995-96. He worked at IAEA in Vienna from 1998-2001. Prior to joining LLNL in 1987, Dr. Choi had 13 years of industrial experience working for Bechtel. He has a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from UC Berkeley. He is also a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in California.

　Mr. Pricha Karasuddhi is the Technical Advisor of Nuclear Power Program Development Office, Ministry of Energy and an Advisor of the Executive Committee of Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technology. He worked at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as Nuclear Safeguards Inspector from October 1981 till January 2000. He was the President of Nuclear Society of Thailand from 2008 till July 2010. Before he worked at IAEA, he was an Assistant Professor at Department of Nuclear Technology, Faculty of Engineering Chulalongkorn University from 1977-1981 and a Nuclear Scientist at the Office of Atomic Energy for Peace from 1963 - 1975.

　Mr. Paul Kerr has been an analyst in Nonproliferation at the Congressional Research Service (CRS) in Washington, DC since August 2007. Prior to this, he worked as an analyst for the Arms Control Association for five years. A resident of Washington for over ten years, he has also worked for the Lexington Institute and the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

　He holds an MA from the University of South Carolina and a BA from the University of Vermont. He has written about a variety of nuclear-related topics, including India, Pakistan, and North Korea's nuclear weapons programs, Iran's nuclear program, US civil nuclear cooperation, the International Atomic Energy Agency, and the Nuclear Suppliers Group.

Dr. Wisnubroto received both master's and doctor's degrees in nuclear engineering from Department of Nuclear Engineering, the University of Tokyo, Japan in 1990 and 1993.

June 2010 to present:
Currently as a Deputy Chairman for Development of Nuclear Material Cycle Technology and Engineering, National Nuclear Energy Agency of Indonesia (BATAN), he is in charge of coordination on the nuclear fuel cycle and engineering.
June 2006 - May 2010:
As a Director for Radioactive Waste Management Center of BATAN, he managed the radioactive waste coming from industries and hospitals from all over the country as well as from internal BABAN. He also managed the nuclear spent fuel from research reactors.
